New Orleans Saints calendar survey at the end of their week off

The Week 6 bye seemed early for the New Orleans Saints when it was first announced, but the break may have come at the right time. Eight different starters are working to come back from injuries or suspensions over the next few weeks, which will provide enough salary cap relief for the Saints to be active buyers by the NFL trade deadline if they so choose.

And the calendar is organized well for the Saints to move forward. Only half of their remaining 12 games are against teams with a winning record right now, including a pair of divisional clashes with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have only played one of their six games with rivals from the NFC South so far. They’ll also kick off half of those home games at the Caesars Superdome.
